Etta Carter, Realtor at Coldwell Banker, has been recognized as a Marquis Emerging Leader for their contributions and achievements in the field of real estate.

An accomplished residential realtor since 2020 and a notary signing agent with ESKA Unlimited, LLC since 2015, Ms. Carter prioritizes making her numerous clients happy by maintaining a strong rapport with them from beginning to end of the property acquisition process and ensuring they obtain what they were looking for. She connects with her clients on a regular basis, provides them with necessary resources, keeps track of the communities her customers are interested in, and does marketing all throughout. She was previously active as a realtor at RE/MAX Alliance and a real estate agent at Coldwell for two years. Before she entered the real estate industry, she served as a marketing and business development consultant at Centerstone, a professional sales representative at Kowa American Corporation, a senior sales consultant at Emed Medical Company, and a senior sales consultant at Novartis AG. In addition, she has worked at Pfizer Inc., Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company, Block Drug Company, Inc., and Pitney Bowes Inc.

While working at Novartis AG, a pharmaceutical corporation, Ms. Carter provided a proposal to her district manager because she sold antihypertensive drugs as hypertension was very prevalent in the African-American and Hispanic communities. This prompted her to create the “Free yourself from hypertension” program for Juneteenth, which the company’s marketing department accepted. She managed the program and expanded it—she and others involved were later nominated for a diversity and inclusion award. Recognized with the President’s Club Award from Novartis in 2007, she has since been honored with the Five Star Real Estate Agent Award from Five Star Professional in 2022 and recognized as a Top Agent at Coldwell Banker.

In preparation for her professional journey, Ms. Carter earned a Bachelor of Arts in business marketing, with a minor in economics, from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1988 and a Master of Business Administration from the Graduate School of Management at DeVry Educational Developmental Corp. Looking ahead to the next 10 years, she plans to retire, but before doing so, she wants to either obtain her brokerage license or pursue commercial real estate.
