Vincent Malulani Bowen, Attorney at Banyan Law, has been recognized as a Marquis Emerging Leader for their contributions and achievements in the field of law.

A licensed attorney since 2021, Mr. Bowen has begun to carve out an accomplished career in the state of California, where he excels in the legal area of business immigration. Starting out as a law clerk at Banyan Law, a global immigration firm whose mission is to support immigrants and their employers, his passion for utilizing his skills and knowledge to help others drove him toward a full-time position within a year. At Banyan, he has found success by always empathizing with and listening to his clients, developing strong bonds with them in one-on-one sessions; his daily responsibilities include case management, corresponding with clients and other employees, drafting documents, and writing support letters for client petitions.

Prior to this role, Mr. Bowen served as an intern within the Division of Enforcement at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in 2020, a law clerk at Caputo & Van Der Walde LLP in 2019, and as an executive administrative assistant at Gonzalez & Gonzalez Law from 2016 to 2018. Throughout his undergraduate years, between 2012 and 2016, he worked in a managerial role at Papa John’s.

Fueled by a love for the law, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science, with high honors, from California State University, Fullerton in 2016, was granted a scholarship, and then obtained a Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University School of Law—where he graduated magna cum laude and in the top 4% of his class—in 2021. In addition, as a student, he was recognized with a CALI Excellence for the Future Award by the Center for Computer-Assisted Legal Instruction in 2019 and was inducted into the Order of the Coif at Santa Clara University. Throughout his busy career, he keeps connected to his industry as an active member of both the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the California Lawyers Association.

Originally interested in working with start-up companies and venture capital, Mr. Bowen strives to one day utilize his current legal passions to counsel young emerging companies and help them grow, most of whom—he noted—have a significant immigration workforce. Looking ahead, he hopes to continue to excel as a business immigration lawyer and serve his clients well at Banyan.
