With more than 20 years of professional experience to his name, Dr. Singh has established himself as an accomplished architect, scientist, researcher, author, and educator—and currently excels as an assistant vice president of data & analytics OS, Sonata Software, USA, which he joined in 2023. Wielding extensive knowledge and expertise in artificial intelligence, machine learning, prediction models of groundwater contaminants, prediction models of natural hazards, and environmental sustainability, he previously found success as a solution architect, data science architect, and professional services expert for large pharma and technology companies. Additionally, he was active as a data architect and a data scientist for geospatial analytics and machine learning, as well as a data scientist and the Big Data and Geospatial Analytics Lead at Virtusa Corp and a senior environmental scientist at GPSME. Prior to his career in the United States, he served in his home country of India as an assistant pollution control expert with the Japan International Cooperation Agency Study Team: NIPPON KOE; a School Sanitation and Hygiene Education Coordinator at UNICEF; a project group leader for the Department of Environment and Water Management at Anugrah Narayan College; and launched his career in 2001 as an assistant project coordinator for natural resource management at the Center for Integrated Development.
Outside of his primary endeavors, Dr. Singh has been an active educator, teaching at Digital University Kerala in India as an adjunct professor at the School of Informatics and a course instructor at the Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management. In addition, since 2020, he has been a member of the Board of Studies at the School of Informatics and a visiting senior research fellow at the Indian Institute of Sustainable Development in New Delhi. He also lends his authority in the field as a resource person at Anugrah Narayan College and a speaker and presenter across numerous conferences and symposia. Furthermore, he has chaired the Graduate Student Organization and founded and presided over the Student Chapter of the United States Green Building Council at Montclair State University between 2012 and 2014, among several other academic posts.
Prolific as a researcher and writer as well, he has excelled as the associate editor of Frontiers in Environmental Science: Toxicology, Pollution, and the Environment and Big Data, AI, and the Environment since 2022-23 and has acted in the reviewer role for a wide range of publications in his field—including Bulletin of the World Health Organization, Chemosphere, Electronics, Environmental Technology and Innovation, Environmental Science: Water Research & Technology, International Journal of Environmental Science and Technology, Journal of Trace Elements in Medicine and Biology, and Sustainable Water Resources Management, among others. Since 2010, he has authored and contributed to numerous articles and chapters on topics of his expertise.
In recognition of his prolific and highly impactful work since the start of the century, Dr. Singh has collected such accolades as an Award for Excellence in Research at the Education Expo in India in 2023, a Best Researcher Award for the Contribution and Honorable Achievement in Innovative Research by ScienceFather in 2022, an Award for Excellence in IT from the Indian Achievers’ Forum & CSR Times in 2021, an Outstanding Scientist Award from the VDGOOD Professional Association, an Inspirational Leadership Award from the Bestow Edutrex International Mumbai, and a Critical Talent of the Year recognition from Virtusa Corp. Attributing his success to his parents, God’s grace, and his many gurus, Dr. Singh gravitated toward his profession out of interest in science and the management side of health-related issues. A voracious learner, he is equipped with a Bachelor of Science from Bhupendra Narayan Mandal University, a Master of Science and a Doctor of Philosophy in environmental science from Magadh University, a Doctor of Philosophy in environmental management from Montclair State University, and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration from the Swiss School of Business and Management. Looking toward the future, Dr. Singh strives to focus on volunteer teaching and assisting those who have the ability to learn but lack the resources to do so.
