Born in the Netherlands to American parents who were there conducting missionary work, Mr. Erickson spent his childhood in both Turkey and Germany, where their humanitarian mission shaped his worldview and compassion for others. He was exposed to military and government operations growing up, including his time spent at American military bases during his high school years, which sparked an early interest in national security.
With a bachelor’s degree in business administration, and a concentration in accounting, from California State University, Fullerton, as well as coding credentials, Mr. Erickson served as UAT (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) designer and a senior accountant at JLL from 2016 to 2020 and as a senior staff accountant with Foundation Building Materials for a year before pursuing a formal cybersecurity education. He completed a nine-month “boot camp” at Bethel School of Technology, where he served as a designer and deployment engineer, and ultimately earned a CompTIA Security+ certification in 2023. Also a certified drone pilot, he merged his hobby interest in that technology with his newfound cybersecurity expertise, recognizing the opportunity to create an innovative company that combines both passions into a meaningful business venture focused on protecting communities.
Since 2024, Mr. Erickson has been active as the co-founder of Eagle Eye Securities, a startup dedicated to UAV security monitoring and AI-powered intelligence solutions through customized drones. It focuses on integrating drones into first responder operations while developing advanced cybersecurity software tools. In this capacity, he has been instrumental in organizing the company’s operations, hiring software engineers, overseeing research and development initiatives, and implementing security tools that he and his co-founder, Cameron, created, all of which has positioned the company at the forefront of AI-powered drone technology for cybersecurity and aerial surveillance applications.
In addition to these responsibilities, Mr. Erickson previously lent his accounting services to Microflex Technologies and served as chief financial officer at Jojo Enterprises, where he oversaw full-cycle accounting and bookkeeping operations.. All throughout his professional life, too, he has been deeply involved in community and volunteer work through his church. As a testament to his parents’ influence, his most notable sojourn was a three-month humanitarian mission to Mozambique and Tanzania, providing aid to homeless individuals and utilizing his multilingual abilities in French and Turkish to communicate with those in need. These experiences have bolstered his commitment to protecting and helping people through his endeavors in cybersecurity and technology. He was recognized for entrepreneurship and leadership in his Orange County, California community in 2024.
Looking toward the future, Mr. Erickson envisions scaling Eagle Eye Securities by collaborating with local and statewide leaders to bring drone technology and first responder integration to protect city streets and communities. He plans to expand the company’s impact by working with border patrol operations and law enforcement agencies. He also aspires to assist the U.S. government and present Eagle Eye Securities’ drone solutions to major organizations and private contractors working with the federal government, positioning his company as a key player in national security and public safety initiatives.
