James W. Faro, Sales Executive at Amberline LLC, has been recognized as a Marquis Emerging Leader for their contributions and achievements in the field of architecture.
Always architecturally focused and driven, Mr. Faro grew up interested in how materials come together and can stand the test of time; he always loved observing structures and buildings and later traveled across Eastern Europe to study architecture there. However, upon earning a Bachelor of Science in architectural studies and a Master of Business Administration from Philadelphia University in 2005 and 2006, respectively, the housing market crashed in 2008—which had a major impact on his career for a while. He pursued other roles outside of architectural building for several years, including Customer Relations Manager at Pulte Homes, a business analyst at HMS, and a general manager at Constitution Seafoods for nearly a decade, where he honed his leadership and management skills.
In 2020, still passionate about architecture and design, Mr. Faro returned to the building materials industry as an architectural business development consultant at Pella Windows and Doors of Boston. From 2021 to 2024, he excelled as an architectural project manager at Marvin, a fourth-generation family-owned company that operates wholesale building materials; there, he played an integral role in driving specifications for the company within the architecture and design sector. His involvement included demonstrating new products and innovations and connecting with developers, builders, and contractors—all of which went toward continued education through the American Institute of Architects.
Since early 2024, he has found success as a sales executive at Amberline LLC, a Massachusetts-based company focused on eco-friendly, high-performance windows, doors, and storefronts for commercial building projects. In this capacity, he works with architects, energy consultants, builders, and developers. Attributing his success to his eye for detail, he has been most professionally proud of being specified for a regional airport, Saratoga County Airport in New York, and obtaining his certificate as a Construction Documents Technologist through the Construction Specifications Institute in 2022.
Outside of his primary endeavors, Mr. Faro volunteers with such charitable organizations as Habitat for Humanity International and Bring Back the Trades. He’s also a dedicated member of the Worcester chapter of the American Institute of Architects. Looking toward the future, he wants to expand his expertise beyond Boston and into the Northeast, striving to be a trusted consultant for architectural designers who need guidance on windows and doors. He aspires to be recognized as an expert in fenestration.
Mr. Faro advises others to put in the time and not give up, saying, “The longer they stay with it, the more rewarding it gets.”
