Ms. Sims launched her career there as a contract specialist before expanding into marketing; taking the initiative, she approached the chief executive officer to express her interest in leading the marketing team and focusing on creative content and storytelling. As a result, she landed the role of vice president of social media marketing—overseeing all social media clients and establishing the team from the ground up. She subsequently advanced to the vice president of outsourced marketing, vice president of campaign development, and senior vice president of marketing before finding success in her current position in 2024.

In these capacities, she has had the chance to showcase robust leadership, management, and collaboration abilities. She also travels around the country often, participating in video production, attending conferences, and visiting their office in Nashville, which she often does.

Over the course of her career, Ms. Sims considers the highlight to be her involvement in a rebranding project for two merging credit unions. She played a crucial role in creating a new name, designing a logo and overseeing the rebranding of branches, marketing materials, and the website to ensure a unified look. Her end-to-end involvement in the project was immensely satisfying, especially as the client expressed high satisfaction with the outcome. This experience significantly contributed to her professional growth and paved the way for her to take on a new, more impactful role within the company.

Wielding a bachelor’s degree in project management from Northwest Florida State College, Ms. Sims first gained experience in the real estate, auto-body, apparel retail, and investment banking industries. Looking toward the future, she aims to launch a podcast and establish herself as a leading authority on branding, not only in the financial sector but also among a wider audience—she wants people to better understand the significance of credit unions. Additionally, she plans to broaden her horizons and foster collaborations with diverse brands to substantially contribute to the field of brand development across various industries.
