Hoil Lee, Attorney at Lee Law, has been recognized as a Marquis Emerging Leader for their contributions and achievements in the field of business law, real estate investment, transactions, employment law and criminal law.
Mr. Lee became involved in his profession after working with finance for Samsung Electronics and handling contracts. His undergraduate degree was in accounting and he felt he could bring these skills into the field of law. After earning a JD from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School at Western Michigan University, he worked for two years at a private firm before establishing his own firm in 2020. He built a large client base with many Korean immigrants and Korean Americans due to his Korean background.
Though still early in his legal practice, Mr. Le considers the top highlight in his career thus far has been closing a couple of multimillion commercial real estate investments with each being five million in commercial real estate with one in East Michigan and another in West Michigan in 2020. He was also able to close a bunch of business transactions like restaurants, cafes, laundromats, and more. Mr. Lee attributes his success to financial stability, broadening his knowledge, experience, and helping others succeed. The success of his clients is his success as well and he finds building great relationships with them as a rewarding experience. His staff shares the same philosophy as he does and have the same core values.
In his daily responsibilities, Mr. Lee attends court, handles cases on the buying and selling of businesses, disputes with landlord-tenant matters, negotiating lease agreements and other business contracts and visiting with clients. In addition, he holds meetings with realtors, opposing councils, reviews purchase agreements, conducts financial due diligence, physical due diligence, legal due diligence, and closing of transactions. Looking toward the future, Mr. Lee wants to grow his practice to have ten attorneys with each attorney having their own specialties like immigration, business, estate claims, and tax departments. He wants to form a full-service litigation firm as well as consultation services. He wants to diversify the business sectors, which will more efficiently help the clients.
