Company: Rejuvenate Your Mind
Career History: Founder, Rejuvenate Your Mind (2021-Present)
Nicole Smart, Founder at Rejuvenate Your Mind, has been recognized as a Marquis Emerging Leader for their contributions and achievements in the field of financial services.
In addition to an illustrious career in payroll management that has spanned more than three decades, Ms. Smart has excelled as the founder of Rejuvenate Your Mind, a company through which she develops and transforms people’s personal lives by helping them deal with trauma, since 2021. Long guided by her genuine care for people, she has observed across numerous industries a lack of empathy toward others; minimal social connections among colleagues and open conversations; people on the cusp of financial devastation; and an unhealthy work-life balance among employees. She has prided herself as a payroll manager as standing out from others as someone people feel comfortable approaching for both financial and personal matters.
A reliable payroll manager committed to keeping accurate payroll and time and attendance, being a strong organizer, communicator and problem solver, as well as acting as a liaison between the Human Resources, Payroll, and Finance Departments, Ms. Smart has served this role at Kaolin Mushroom Farms since 2019—which she considers her most notable achievement. Prior to this appointment, she excelled as a payroll specialist at AmQuip Crane, an independent insurance agent at Nicole Smart Insurance, and a payroll manager at Asset Management Specialists, LLC and Robert Half Finance & Accounting. Outside of her primary endeavors, she has been active as an Assistant Girl Scout Leader from 2003 to 2016.
Looking toward the future, Ms. Smart strives to go to corporations and educate them about work-life balance. She aims to ensure that these corporations’ employees have a healthy work-life balance and are engaged in work they enjoy. Further, she intends to provide coaching services to these companies to help people live a better life; she emphasizes the importance of fostering social connections among colleagues and encourages open conversations when things are not going well. Additionally, Ms. Smart ensures that everyone has an equal say in workplace matters. She is happily married with two children, Troy Jr. and Tyana, and a granddaughter, Nova.
