Mittul G. Amin, Fellow and Brand Ambassador at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, has been recognized as a Marquis Emerging Leader for their contributions and achievements in the fields of technology and education.
Motivated by hard work, dedication, and persistence, Mr. Amin—wielding degrees in chemical engineering—built an accomplished career as a process engineer at Honeywell International Inc. from 2012 to 2020. Accruing several performance awards and successfully training more than 50 people across numerous organizations and institutions across several countries, he ultimately reached the highest engineering position possible at Lummus Technology, where he was active as a senior process engineer for a year before deciding to take his career to the next level. As he had the opportunity to travel internationally for Honeywell, he found he enjoyed working with corporate executives. He subsequently pursued a Master of Business Administration at the University of Chicago School of Business.
Excelling at the prestigious business school and earning recognition for “Above and Beyond Contributions,” Mr. Amin served as a BSI consultant and has been active in his current role there since 2022. In this role, he interviews candidates who’ve applied to the school, writes feedback according to the committee guidelines, and then decides whether to admit the candidate—he largely represents the university’s brand. He has maintained his position since obtaining an MBA in 2024. Additionally, he’s involved in numerous finance, fundraising, and ESG initiatives through numerous nonprofit organizations.
Looking toward the future, Mr. Amin strives to establish three organizations: a hedge fund for investment management geared toward energy conservation and global warming efforts, a technology company to decarbonize the manufacturing industries and save water sources across the planet, and a nonprofit providing free education, especially for children. Outside of these goals, he continues learning every day and enjoys sharing his knowledge and expertise.
