Jessica Anne Renfeldt, Founder and Owner of Resilience Coaching, has been recognized as a Marquis Emerging Leader for their contributions and achievements in the field of entrepreneurship.
Ms. Renfeldt’s entire life has been defined by resiliency. Her grandmother and mother both showed her at a young age how strong and capable women were, helping her forge her professional path, build resilience in the face of life’s adversities, and prioritize the celebration and support of women in the workplace. Starting in 1994, she spent the first decade of her career as a certified pharmacy technician at K-Mart Pharmacy, subsequently excelling in pharmacy benefit management. She was a senior account executive with ScripWorld, an Aetna company, and the senior director of client management at OptumRx Pharmacy Inc., where she oversaw a book of business worth more than $30 million in health plan clients from across the United States due to her ability to serve people’s needs while keeping the company’s best interests at heart.
In 2016, while still with OptumRx, Ms. Renfieldt was diagnosed with terminal Cardiac AL Amyloidosis, for which she underwent a stem cell transplant and 10 months of outpatient chemotherapy. The procedures miraculously stopped the cancer. However, her heart was severely damaged by the disease, requiring her to undergo a heart transplant. Throughout the entire experience, she realized she was not fulfilling her life’s purpose of serving others in a heart-centered way; instead of focusing on her own situation, she strongly desired to help others and make a bigger difference. As a result, she wrote a book about her experience, “Dancing in the Shower,” which is scheduled for release in early 2025, and began offering Resilience Coaching services through her firm in 2023.
As the founder and CEO of Resilience Coaching, Ms. Renfeldt has excelled as a resilience coach, motivational speaker, and the author of published articles for Authority Magazine and Bold Journey. She offers personalized one-on-one coaching tailored to each client she works with; specializes in working with individuals who are dealing with loss or grief, whether it’s the loss of loved ones, loss of health, or loss of a career; conducts virtual coaching sessions over Zoom; and operates independently and manages all aspects of her business.
Looking toward the future, Ms. Renfeldt is passionate about continuing to write articles for magazines, focusing on being a thought leader and conveying messages of leadership and resiliency through editorials. She aspires to speak on larger stages, share her story, and bring hope to those facing challenges. Additionally, she hopes to write another book and expand her coaching business.
