It was Mr. Rodriguez’s father who suggested he work at a local law firm during a summer break to further explore his interest in the social sciences. Upon working as a summer law clerk, he found the profession of law to be an incredible opportunity and rewarding career. After receiving a Bachelor of Science in social sciences from Evangel University in 2014, he continued his academic pursuits to receive a JD from the John Marshall Law School in 2018. He served as a summer law clerk at Person, Whitworth, Borchers & Morales LLP, a student clinical for the International Human Rights Clinic from the John Marshall Law School, and held legal internships for the 2017 Minority Summer Internship Program with the Illinois Office of the State’s Attorneys Appellate Prosecutor.

Mr. Rodriguez commenced his legal career after receiving a JD first as a contract attorney with O’Hagan Meyer in 2018 before accepting his current role as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Clare E. McWilliams within the Circuit Court of Cook County in Chicago Illinois in 2019. His academic achievements have been indicators of his future success. During his undergraduate years, he received the Silver Shield Award at Evangel University in 2013. He was accepted to the prestigious John Marshall Law School with an Edward T. Lee Full Tuition Scholarship and during his tenure at the institution, receiving two Highest Grade Awards as well as inclusion on the Dean’s List.

To aid in his professional development, Mr. Rodriguez maintains association with the American Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association, the Hispanic National Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association. Mr. Rodriguez attributes his success to his upbringing. His parents instilled in him a profound sense of discipline, his father was an entrepreneur and always kept himself busy and his mother was a United States citizen born abroad in Mexico. She came to the US in a car and the next morning her father looked for a job and found one. They are a family that works hard and he wants to honor that with the work that he puts out into this world.
