Ian Ballard, Associate Attorney at McCrink, Kehler & McCrink, has been recognized as a Marquis Emerging Leaders for their contributions and achievements in the field of law.

An expert in a wide spectrum of the law, from civil and personal injury matters to real estate and family, Mr. Ballard gravitated toward the legal profession after obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in history and political science from Rutgers University in 2008 and then working in the retail industry for several years. Through this early work, he developed an interest in employee rights and protection, especially for those who were treated poorly; this passion grew into a determination to pursue a career in law to enact real change and help people.

Upon earning a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Rutgers School of Law in 2016, and being admitted to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, Mr. Ballard gained experience as a law clerk for the Hon. Andrea I. Marshall, J.S.C. for a year. He then launched his career as an attorney at the Law Offices of Lawrence W. Luttrell from 2017 to 2018 and has served as an associate attorney for McCrink, Kehler & McCrink since 2019. Other legal focuses of his include trusts and estates, bankruptcy, debt collection and litigation, and legal research and writing.

Outside of his main endeavors, he contributes as a donor to numerous charities and organizations, including Rainbow Railroad, which helps members of the LGBTQI+ community escape violence in their intolerant home countries. Living his life by the mantra to “do unto others as you would them do unto you,” he looks forward to continuing to help others through his work in the law and strives to eventually become a full-fledged trial attorney or a partner in a firm. Mr. Ballard attributes his overall success to the love and support of his family and feels proud to be the first member of his family to graduate from law school.
