Eric Teninty, Business Owner and Estimator at Priority Estimating Services, has been recognized as a Marquis Emerging Leader for their contributions and achievements in the field of construction.
An accomplished name in residential and commercial construction estimating, Mr. Teninty accrued more than a decade of professional experience before starting his own consulting firm in 2023 to accommodate a common challenge he witnessed in the industry: talented builders missing out on projects due to lack of time or resources. Through Priority Estimating Services, he serves subcontractors, general contractors, developers, and architects across the Midwest. Utilizing expertise in cost estimating, architectural design, marketing, and accounting to provide thorough estimates that support competitive bidding and reduce average turnaround time by up to 50 percent. Under his leadership and strong communication skills, the firm has built a loyal client base and achieved more than 70 percent repeat business due to its reliability and efficiency.
Upon graduating from high school, Mr. Teninty, who was raised to have a strong work ethic, joined the Indiana Army National Guard, through which he served as a refueler from 2008 to 2014 and was honored with an Army Achievement Medal. In the midst of his service, he prepared for his career by earning an associate degree in design technology and architectural design from Ivy Tech Community College Lafayette in 2011, after which he gained experience as a CAD (Computer-Aided Design) drafter at the renowned firm Debbie Mann Consulting, Inc. for a year. He subsequently continued his education with a bachelor’s degree in building construction management from Purdue University in 2015 before becoming an assistant project manager at Gradex, Inc. He then found success at Trinitas Ventures, a major real estate firm, rising from a pre-construction engineer and estimator to pre-construction manager between 2016 and 2020. He worked in this same capacity at BW Construction and ran Thompson Thrift Residential for a year prior to founding his current venture; he was part of several large multifamily developments valued from $40 million to $100 million.
Looking toward the future, Mr. Teninty plans to grow his company and have 10 to 20 people working under him. He would like to have a bigger footprint across the country and even engage in international work, aiming to be part of building around the world.
