Eric J. Chou, Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Honor Games, has been recognized as a Marquis Emerging Leader for their contributions and achievements in the field of mental health services.

Multi-talented and knowledgeable in various areas, including mental health support, psychology, management, public relations, technology, and game development, Mr. Chou has accrued more than a decade of professional experience across several industries. Since 2017, he has utilized his lifelong passion for the interactions between psychology and technology in order to create a positive social impact as the founder, Chief Executive Officer, project coordinator, producer, public relations lead, and lead writer at Honor Games, a company that aims to create immersive

and meaningful universes, narratives, and experiences for gamers of all backgrounds and abilities. It provides a platform for creative and talented individuals and achieves its goal of helping those with anxiety or other mental health issues and challenges. In addition to these responsibilities, he proudly finds success as a mental health community worker and crisis counselor for the County of Santa Clara 988, where he provides crisis and suicide prevention lifeline counseling and resource dispatching to people in need of mental health support.

Equipped with an Associate of Science in general studies science from Foothill College and a bachelor’s degree in psychology and social behavior from the University of California, Irvine, Mr. Chou has been involved as a PR lead and lead writer for Tiberium Secrets mod for the popular game “Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars” and served as the co-founder, staff officer, and information tech support officer, among many roles, at 102nd Multigaming Community. In 2015, he served as a tech support analyst in the Duel Department at IXL Learning, an HR administrator at Quantcast, and a project coordinator at the Light & Salt Association. In addition, he was active as a project manager and game producer at Animus Interactive, a diversity and inclusion coordinator at Oracle, a recruiting project coordinator at Gilead Sciences, and a project coordinator at Omnicell. A former volunteer with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, he’s currently a “volunteer firefighter” within the County of Santa Clara.

Throughout his childhood, Mr. Chou experienced a vision impairment, which prevented him from being able to drive or engage in other transportation. As a result, he occasionally finds it difficult to leave his residence and has had to be extremely adaptable—despite these obstacles, he has consistently surprised people by successfully accomplishing his goals. Looking ahead, he’s determined to attain a master’s degree in organizational industrial psychology, with which he wants to implement positive change and promote consistency in employee job titles and responsibilities within creative industry companies. He also has published a book called “Solving the equation of Love: A manic imagination [Equation of humanity book 1],” which summarizes his life for the past decade, as well as detailing his lived experience with bipolar 1.
