Dmitry Sergei “Vich” Tereshenko, AI and Data Operations Consultant at Deloitte Consulting, has been recognized as a Marquis Emerging Leader for their contributions and achievements in the field of business and consulting services.
Mr. Tereshenko’s accomplished career has been marked by hard work and perseverance. Starting at 13, he began working to help support his family. He would later excel academically at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where he was a full merit scholar, a summer research scholar, a tutor, a grant writer, and ultimately earned bachelor’s degrees in applied anthropology, English, language, and digital technology during the COVID-19 pandemic—his final year of undergraduate studies was conducted entirely online. Despite these challenges, he continued to compete for honors, earned research publications, and secured a full scholarship for a graduate program at Georgetown University. He ultimately attained a master’s degree in linguistics, language, and communication from the university—all while working full-time as a private tutor and writing coach at Freelance Writing & Academic Services, a language consultant at Estrela Consulting LLC, and a consulting researcher at Verilogue, a Publicist Health Company.
Mr. Tereshenko continued to find success at Mother Tongue, a language services provider, where he was active as a Conversational AI Content Creator and Quality Analyst from 2022 to 2023. Since 2023, he’s proudly served as an AI and Data Operations Consultant at Deloitte Consulting, where he supports internal and client-facing initiatives within the firm’s Government & Public Services practice, primarily in the Federal Health sector. Outside of his primary responsibilities, he also participates in internal initiatives through the People with Disabilities and Allies Group, through which he promotes and supports neurodiversity, neurodivergence, and neurocognitive inclusion.
Crediting much of his success to his mother, Mr. Tereshenko said she has been a supportive figure while instilling in him the importance of believing in others and respecting everyone’s narrative. Her mother, from Minnesota, and her father, from Ukraine, were both gymnastics professionals recruited to work at a facility in North Carolina before he was born. Following suit, prior to launching his consulting career, he was active as a USAG-certified gymnastics coach, judge, and athletic mentor at Zenith Gymnastics.
Looking toward the future, Mr. Tereshenko strives to change the cultural expectations of corporate consulting to make it more inclusive, down to the office environment. Additionally, he plans to write a children’s book and help his mother retire.
