With a degree in hand, Mr. Koussanta launched his career at the companies Colonial Life and Custom Employee Benefits Administrators, where he’s been active as an employee benefits specialist and benefits manager, respectively, since 2021. In this capacity, he conducts business reviews on the employee benefits package and prepares plan designs and enrollment meetings. In addition, he has wielded his expertise as a financial benefits consultant as a health insurance broker for Healthcare Search—the Louisiana-based business he started—since 2023 and as an account executive with Five Rings Financial, LLC since 2024.
Mr. Koussanta prides himself on his proven ability to inspire employers to grow their businesses with loyal employees and improve the bottom line overall. As a testament to this skill, he considers his most notable professional achievement to be the significant revenue his business generated in its first year: $700,000. Since then, the business has experienced consistent growth, increasing by 40 percent each year. Looking ahead, Mr. Koussanta plans to relocate to Fort Worth, Texas, with his family—including his wife, Brianna, and their two children—and find somebody to take over his business in Louisiana. He aims to replicate his success in the Dallas-Fort Worth area by developing an agency there to achieve the same or greater revenue. Outside of his primary endeavors across several companies, he has been a longtime volunteer with a veterinary office in New Orleans. In his spare time, he enjoys playing soccer, exercising, and meditating.
