Rebecca Newcombe, Owner of Becky’s Best Sewing Machines, has been recognized as a Marquis Emerging Leader for their contributions and achievements in the field of retail.

Ms. Newcombe is an expert in all things related to sewing machines, from selling and teaching classes. She is well-versed in finding the perfect sewing machine for any budget, with some of the most high-end machines ranging up to $20,000. The technology in these machines includes complete computerization and embroidery capabilities. She boasts more than two decades of experience in this business and attributes her present-day success to Patricia Wallace for teaching her all she knows and for guiding her to where she is today.

Ms. Newcombe became involved in her profession after high school, where she was looking for work and saw an ad for sewing. She went to the place of the ad and the company opened the doors for her to take sewing classes in Brother, Baby Lock, Husqvarna Vikings, Janome Elna, Pfaff, Singer, White, as well as others that resulted in sewing certifications. Patricia Wallace was also a great inspiration for Ms. Newcombe to get deeply involved in the field. In 2019, she launched her latest endeavor with Becky’s Best Sewing Machines. Prior to that, she served from 1998 to 2019 with All Sew.

Always committed to giving back to her community, Ms. Newcombe has been instrumental in providing masks to essential works during the Covid-19 pandemic. As the owner of her business, Ms. Newcombe excels in numerous areas of expertise. She teaches people how to use their products whether they bought it from her or from somewhere else. She is able to troubleshoot and provide minor repairs, all while doing the paperwork and ensuring her customers are happy. Her hard work and abilities have been recognized in a Featured on a PBS segment about her sewing, sewing machines, and what she can do, as well as a 2020 resolution in her honor by the Roscommon Township Board.
