Gravitating toward her career since her formative years, Dr. Mitchell faced health issues in high school, when her body produced excess cerebrospinal fluid, leading to constant headaches and lumbar punctures. As a result, regular chiropractic visits helped reduce her head pressure by improving fluid flow through her spinal column, which managed her headaches during her senior year. She continued seeing a chiropractor regularly and after completing coursework in biology, chemistry, psychology, and health studies at Arkansas State University, she pursued further education at Logan University. While initially unsure about her professional path, her mother suggested chiropractic care, recalling her own love for getting her back adjusted.
Upon earning a Doctor of Chiropractic in 2023, Dr. Mitchell became licensed in Arkansas and certified in acupuncture. The following year, after turning 24, she took a leap and opened her own practice, Shiloh, a Northeast Arkansas-based firm providing evidence-based chiropractic care for back pain, neck pain, joint pain, sports-related injuries, and traditional acupuncture therapy. Attributing her success to overcoming fear of failure, taking chances on herself, and a strong work ethic, she prides herself in being the youngest chiropractor in the city of Paragould; within six months of opening the practice, she earned the title of Paragould Premier Chiropractor, which she has held every year since. This achievement surpassed longstanding offices with deep roots and loyal patients, including those she knew from her childhood.
Dr. Mitchell, always determined to bolster her credentials, is currently pursuing an 80-hour accreditation to become a certified chiropractic sports physician and plans to take another board exam in October 2026. It would allow her to provide better physical trainers, as well as serve Parkinson’s patients and support various conditions. Her passion for her work and the human body inspires her to keep learning and understanding its complexity. Sometimes, her efforts lead to unexpected results and she trusts the process. Other times, a method that works for others does not work for her, prompting further exploration. She welcomes challenges from her patients and is eager to grow.
Looking toward the future, Dr. Mitchell wants to build a new office that functions as an integrative medicine clinic. The facility will house doctors and nurse practitioners, with dedicated wings for physical therapy, rehabilitation, and sports rehabilitation. The team would be a team consisting of sports trainers, athletic trainers, personal trainers, physical therapists, occupational therapists, chiropractors, nurse practitioners, and physicians to address needs ranging from postsurgical recovery to acute injuries and chronic pain. She strives to create a practice a practice that unites health care professionals, emphasizing collaboration because healing cannot rely on a single profession.
As an extension of her devotion to her field and community Dr. Mitchell has long been a member of such organizations as the Arkansas Chiropractic Physicians Association, Paragould Emerging Professionals, Arkansas Chiropractic Association, and Paragould Chamber of Commerce.
