Albert Joseph Prew, Owner at G-FORCE Parking Lot Striping of Providence, has been recognized as a Marquis Emerging Leader for their contributions and achievements in the field of military services.

Upon graduating from high school in 1998, Mr. Prew followed in his father’s footsteps, a Vietnam War veteran and two-time Purple Heart recipient, and joined the U.S. Marine Corps. Serving for four years on active duty and in the aviation administration, he then pursued a college degree while working in the restaurant industry, ultimately earning a Bachelor of Science in health and wellness from Rhode Island College. He joined the Rhode Island Army National Guard, serving in field artillery from 2008 to 2014, and then became active as the manager of customer service at the Rhode Island Department of Health.

As he sought to advance his career outside the military, Mr. Prew continued to excel in the Air Force—he has been a client systems technician in the Rhode Island Air National Guard since 2017, during which time he was promoted to E7 Master Sergeant. While working as a cybersecurity analyst at SAIC, he was deployed to Qatar for six months; overseas, he decided he wanted to become his own boss and explore franchise opportunities, having never owned a business before. Since 2023, he has found success as the owner of G-FORCE Parking Lot Striping of Providence, which offers high-quality, affordable pavement marking services to customers in Rhode Island, Connecticut, and parts of Massachusetts.

Mr. Prew attributes his success to his upbringing in a Catholic family and the values instilled in him by his father, Harold S. Prew Jr., of discipline, resilience, loyalty, and prudence, which have guided him throughout his daily life. He also emphasizes the importance of surrender and forgiveness in his value system, which he believes is profound and requires introspection. Looking toward the future, he wants to scale his business, be a great father to his daughter, and pay off some loans. To achieve these goals, he believes that scaling the business involves building crews to reduce his presence on the front lines. Additionally, he wants to expand into more asphalt work and is beginning to develop the asphalt repair side of his business.
