Alex Sierra, Financial Consultant at Equitable Advisors, has been recognized as a Marquis Emerging Leader for their contributions and achievements in the field of financial services.

Since 2023, Mr. Sierra has excelled in the NY Metro Branch of Equitable Advisors, where he helps individuals, families, and business owners achieve financial security utilizing customized and holistic planning techniques. Driven by his determination to make a significant impact on his clients, he aims to reach nearly $100 million in assets under management within the next five to 10 years.

Despite earning a Bachelor of Science in physics from McGill University in 2014, Mr. Sierra subsequently pivoted toward a career in finance, accumulating qualifications through the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and becoming an associate at Enclave Financial Group and working in internal sales at W.P. Carey Inc.  He then served as an internal wholesaler at Prudential Financial, Inc., as an assistant vice president at Brookfield Asset Management, and as an associate in business development at Mercatus Technologies ULC between 2017 and 2022. In the midst of these roles, he bolstered his credentials with a Chartered Financial Analyst designation and certification as an insurance broker through the Department of Financial Services.

Mr. Sierra excelled as a senior associate in internal sales at Cohen & Steers Securities LLC, a prominent brokerage firm, from 2022 to 2023, before choosing to work independently due to a lack of fulfillment in the corporate world. He has long believed that success is more rewarding when achieved by oneself rather than by advancing someone else’s goals, encouraging others to try different things without being discouraged by initial failures, and embracing the excitement of working freely. His choice has allowed him to see immediate rewards through commissions and the impact he has had.
