Nolan Graham, President and Owner at SYNERGY HomeCare of Columbia, has been recognized as a Marquis Emerging Leader for their contributions and achievements in the field of entrepreneurship.

Driven by his years as a college athlete, Mr. Graham believes achieving success is a long-term commitment rather than a quick win. Following several roles in sales and management, and seeking a new direction in the midst of a difficult period in his life, he pursued entrepreneurship. Exploring various options, he eventually settled on investing in a franchise, specifically sensing rapid expansion in the home care industry. He found the statistics compelling, including the fact that 11,000 people in the United States turn 65 every day, and by 2030, there will be more seniors than children in the country for the first time in its 250-year history.

Recognizing a growing need to accommodate the Baby Boomer generation as they entered seniority and wanted to remain in their own homes, Mr. Graham established SYNERGY HomeCare of Columbia in 2025. He serves as president and owner of South Carolina’s branch of SYNERGY, which was launched in 1999 and has since become the fastest-growing home care agency, offering companion care, personal assistance, and hospital-to-home care, among other services. As he navigates his leadership role, his goal going forward is to make his branch the most trusted and respected home care company in Columbia, and to maximize his extensive community involvement—including volunteer work at his local church and Oliver Gospel—in ways that make a significant impact on the local area, such as providing job opportunities for people.

Before beginning his professional career, Mr. Graham earned an Associate of Business Administration degree from Volunteer State Community College in 1999 and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Francis Marion University in 2001. He was active as a management trainee at Enterprise Rent-A-Car for two years, a territory manager at Southern Tank & Pump Co. from 2009 to 2013. Prior to his entrepreneurship, he served as a sales engineer at Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Solutions and as an account manager at Carotek, Inc. Since 2014, he has been a member of the American Society of Plumbing Engineers and the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers.
