Tyler Shawn Krtek, Litigation Paralegal at Strong Law PC, has been recognized as a Marquis Emerging Leader for his contributions and achievements in the field of law.
Wielding expertise in areas of civil law such as personal injury, medical malpractice, product liability, and wrongful death, Mr. Krtek gravitated toward the paralegal role because it allowed him to utilize his research and investigative skills while working behind the scenes of what takes place in the courtroom. Well-versed in litigation, from case inception through jury trial and post-judgment actions, he accrued a significant formal education and experience across the industry before joining Strong Law, PC in 2025.
Upon earning a bachelor’s degree in philosophy, with a minor in economics, from Missouri State University in 2015, Mr. Krtek obtained a master’s degree in religious studies from the institution and a certificate in paralegal studies from Boston University in 2018. He subsequently attended the University of Illinois Springfield, where he became active in the areas of law and ultimately graduated with a master’s in legal studies in 2023. Since 2024, he’s also been active as a volunteer with NALA, the Paralegal Association, through which he became a Certified Paralegal in 2020. Driven by hard work and perseverance, he attributes the success of his journey to the many people in his life who encouraged him to pursue his passions: “I truly believe nothing is possible without true passion and willingness to put in the necessary work,” he said.
In addition to his accomplished paralegal career, Mr. Krtek has an extensive background in music. He’s a gifted guitar, piano, and violin player, was recognized with an award in high school for his guitar playing, and taught private guitar lessons for five years. A lover of classical music, he’s a longtime member of the Springfield Symphony Guild, through which he helps in fundraising for the symphony, advocates for classical music education, and provides guidance for aspiring musicians. He also enjoys martial arts, wielding a First Degree Black Belt in Kenpo Karate since 2017, and has previously served as a teaching assistant at his dojo.
Looking ahead, Mr. Krtek intends to continue his philanthropic efforts with the Springfield Symphony Orchestra and devote his primary career to helping those who have suffered catastrophic injuries and many individuals in difficult and vulnerable situations. As a testament to his dedication to the field, he’s a non-attorney member of the American Bar Association and belongs to the National Association of Legal Assistants.
