Jade Jefferson, Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Banner Boswell Medical Center, has been recognized as a Marquis Emerging Leader for their contributions and achievements in the field of medicine.

Science caught Ms. Jefferson’s attention while she was in high school, and with her natural passion for helping people, working in the medical field was a perfect fit. As the first in her family to graduate college, she is exceptionally proud of her journey to make the world a better place. She first received an Associate of Science from Estrella Mountain Community College, with honors, in 2018. Following this, Ms. Jefferson earned an AAS in nuclear medical technology from Gateway Community College in 2020. Furthermore, through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (CNMT), she is a certified nuclear medicine technologist (CNMT). She is also certified in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) through the American Heart Association.

Since 2021, Ms. Jefferson has provided her specialized form of care as a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Banner Boswell Medical Center. She prepared for this role with a variety of internships in the field, including at Gateway Community College, SimonMed Imaging, The Heart Clinic, and Banner Health. Ms. Jefferson wants to grow, not only as a person, but also as a professional in health care and as a technologist in her field. Her plan is to expand her knowledge in nuclear medicine. She is currently working towards receiving a certification in computed tomography.

Throughout her career, Ms. Jefferson’s parents and teachers made her professional success possible. They were her biggest cheerleaders throughout her college years and continue to support her efforts. She enjoys her work of helping others and exploring the field of nuclear medicine.
